Job summary

Voyage Care is seeking caring, hands-on Support Workers for our Norton Fitzwarren service. You will help people gain independence, support daily activities, and participate in community engagement within a friendly team.

We offer enhanced pay for evenings and weekends, premium overtime, and a range of staff benefits. This role involves weekend work and shift patterns described above and aims to improve quality of life for the people we support.

Qualifications

• Experience as a support worker or care assistant.
• Resilient, flexible and composed in approach.
• Experience with Huntington's, complex care needs or brain injury.
• Willingness to work shifts including weekends.

Typical Shifts are: Monday - Sunday 07:30 - 19:30 long days . Full time 3 x long days a week or part time one or two long days a week . This will require working every other weekend

We’re on the hunt for genuinely caring, hands-on Support Workers with a passion for enhancing the quality of life of the people we support. As a Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst working within a dynamic team to support a fantastic group of people!

Our nursing service in Norton Fitzwarren is an old farmhouse with large grounds including fruit trees and a walled garden. Its a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be could be unwinding with them playing video games, and the next day, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.
