Job summary

Home Group is hiring to help customers live independently and stay connected, focusing on care, respect and practical support that improves lives across our local community. You will support customers with daily tasks, encourage independence, and work collaboratively to empower them while delivering dignity and a safe environment in their homes.

Based in the Maryport area, the role is part-time (22.5 hours across three fixed days, 9:00am–5:00pm).

  • Ability to work on your own initiative and stay calm under pressure.
  • Recognise that every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach.

What You’ll Do

  • The customer group mainly consists of individuals with low-level mental health support needs, with the focus on developing independent living skills, building confidence, and tenancy sustainment.

You have
  • Passion to support our customers to live their best lives
  • Experience of caring for others, professionally or personally
  • The ability to workon your own initiative, stayingcalm and positive under pressure
  • Recognise every customer is different and adopt a flexible, personal approach, listening to understand their needs
  • A Level 2 diploma in Care or equivalent experience (or willing to study towards it)

The practical bits
  • The role is 22.5 hours per week, worked across three fixed days, with standard working hours of 9:00am to 5:00pm.
  • This is an office and community-based role, supporting customers within their own accommodation across the local area.
  • You need an Enhanced with barring list (we pay)
  • You need to be able to drive and have access to your own vehicle insured for business purposes
