Job summary

Milestones Trust is seeking a Night Support Worker for waking nights (21:00–07:30), two nights per week, to help adults with learning disabilities thrive. You will promote health and wellbeing, encourage choice and decision-making, and foster independence wherever possible while ensuring safety, comfort and security in the home.

Job description

This is a waking-night position with a consistent shift pattern of 21:00-07:30, working two Waking Nights per week. As a Support Worker, you'll play an essential role in helping each person thrive. You will be promoting positive self-image, supporting health and wellbeing, encouraging choice and decision-making, and fostering independence wherever possible. You'll also ensure the safety, comfort, and security of the people we support and the home throughout the night.

  • Have excellent communication skills.
  • Have knowledge of Learning disabilities
  • Have a caring manner and a tolerant nature.
  • Be able to support people with their personal hygiene needs and have some understanding of non-verbal communication.
  • Be an enthusiastic and energetic member of the team.
    Forest View is a warm and welcoming home supporting seven adults with learning disabilities to live fulfilling, independent lives.
