Job summary

Active Assistance is seeking caring individuals to support a 17-year-old boy in Market Harborough who has complex needs following an acquired brain injury. You will assist with mobility, daily activities and community outings, while ensuring safety and ongoing engagement.

About the role

This role is to support our wonderful 17 year old male client in Market Harborough. Our client has an acquired brain injury since birth, resulting in him having complex needs. He has epilepsy and regular seizures, PEG tube, non‑verbal, visual impairment and he needs support with mobility. He lives in a bungalow on his family home grounds. Our client is a happy young man who thrives off of his environment. He loves socialising and will greatly benefit from support workers who have an outgoing and bubbly personality. Previous care experience is essential and previous experience with epilepsy is desirable. You must hold a full UK drivers licence to be able to drive his vehicle.

When you will be working

Full time available - 36-40 hours a week. Mix of day (8am-8pm), evening (4pm-8pm) and occasional sleeping nights (8pm-8am) shifts. Flexibility to work variety of shifts, and weekdays and weekends, required. In this role, you’ll support one individual with complex needs as part of a consistent care team, with regular weekly shifts and rotas planned in advance. While the role is offered on a flexible zero‑hours contract, the work is ongoing and typically provides a stable working pattern with the same client.

Pay rate

• Monday - Friday day shifts = £16.00 per hour
• Weekends (Saturdays and Sundays) = £17.00 per hour
• Sleeping nights = £12.71 per hour
