Job summary

Cartrefi Cymru Co-operative in Pembrokeshire is seeking a Support Worker to help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support. You will empower individuals to make their own choices and participate in meaningful activities.

In this permanent, on-site role, hours can be part-time or full-time with weekend and sleep-in shifts. Training is provided, and you'll receive travel expenses at 55p per mile, plus a sleep-in rate of £60 per night.

As a Support Worker in Pembrokeshire, you'll help make the everyday remarkable for the people we support.

We are dedicated to supporting those with learning disabilities to live a fulfilled and enriched life in the community, as a Support Worker, you can play a vital role in this.

Role: Support Worker

Location: Pembrokeshire

Hours: We have both part time and full time hours, please speak to us about the hours you are looking to do. Your shift pattern will include weekends and sleep-ins

Salary: £13.59 per hour and our sleep-in shifts at £60 per night and our travel expenses is paid 55p per mile

Contract: Permanent

What you’ll be doing:

In this role, you'll actively support individuals in making their own choices and set their own goals - whether it's everyday decisions like what to wear, eat, or do, or something bigger such as where to live, how to manage their finances, or where to go on holiday.

As a trusted Support Worker, you'll empower people to follow through on these choices, including taking part in structured activities that build confidence and develop new skills. You'll also offer practical support to help them meet responsibilities like paying bills, maintaining their homes, being good neighbours, and staying connected with friends and family.

No experience required as full training is provided. We'd love to hear from you if:

• have patience and empathy
• can support a person with their intimate personal care with respect and dignity
• have strong communication and teamwork skills
• are able to speak on behalf of others as well as to a range of professional people
• have good written skills and the ability to record events with empathy and meaning
• have afull driving licence - essentialfor transporting individuals to appointments and activities
• have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
