What you’ll be doing:

As a Support Worker, you’ll have the opportunity to make a real difference to someone’s life — supporting them to make their own choices, achieve their goals and enjoy everyday life to the fullest. From choosing what to wear, what to eat or how to spend their day, to bigger decisions such as managing their finances, deciding where to live or planning a holiday, you’ll be there to provide encouragement, support and reassurance while helping people live life on their own terms.

You’ll also support individuals to get involved in activities that build confidence, learn new skills and discover new interests. This could be anything from helping around the home and paying bills, to getting out into the local community, keeping in touch with friends and family, or simply enjoying a cup of tea and a good chat.

Living and working in a close-knit village community, you’ll have the chance to build genuine relationships and become someone people know and trust. It’s often the little things - a friendly conversation, a walk to the local shop, trying something new or helping someone achieve something they didn’t think they could - that make the biggest difference. Our aim is to make everyday remarkable, by supporting wellbeing, independence and the things that bring happiness, purpose and connection.

  • have access to your own car and happy to use this for transporting people we support to and from activities as well as obtaining business insurance for your vehicle for which we pay 55p per mile to cover this
  • being fluent in Welsh is preferred so you can effectively communicate with Welsh‑speaking service users and meet their cultural and linguistic needs.
