Job summary

Voyage-Care in Bury is seeking compassionate Support Workers to help people gain independence in daily living within a residential ABI service. You will work in a friendly team, supporting activities and encouraging social involvement, with training provided to grow your skills.

No two days are the same as you assist with personal care, community access, and various life-enhancing activities, from outings to cinemas. DBS checks and references are required.

Qualifications

• Genuinely caring and hands-on attitude.
• Flexible to work shifts including days, evenings and weekends.
• Hold a UK manual driving license (over 12 months).

Responsibilities

• Help people gain independence in daily living.
• Support within a dynamic team to assist service users.

Support Worker – Bury - £12.72 per hour

Shifts are - 8am to 3pm and 3pm to 10am (waking nights and sleep ins also maybe required)

• Enhanced evening and weekend pay at an additional 50p per hour (Ts & Cs apply)

Our residential ABI (Acquired Brain Injury) service in Bury is a welcoming and friendly environment and you can be sure that no two days will be the same! You’ll be enhancing the lives of the people we support by teaching them new life skills, assisting with personal care, encouraging them to access their local communities, socialising and doing lots of activities. One day you could be out with the people we support in local bars and pubs, the next you could be unwinding with them playing video games, watching films or going to the cinema.

This is an amazing role for someone who is looking to really make a difference to someone's life and to help them grow in confidence and independence so that they meet their goals, whether this be making dinner by themselves or going on holiday.

We’re interested in our Support Workers having both the right experience and the right values.
