Job summary

Real Life Options in Beechwood, Cupar area, is recruiting a compassionate Support Worker to help people live independently with dignity and choice.

This part-time role (35 hours) includes shift patterns, personal care, budgeting assistance, and community activities support. Full training and ongoing support are provided.

Qualifications

  • Care or support work experience is desirable but not essential.
  • Good communication, reliability, flexibility, compassion and empathy are valued.
  • Willingness to learn and participate in training and development.

Part Time (35hrs) & Relief Positions Available
Salary:£13.45 per hour
Location:Beechwood – Cupar Area, Northeast Fife Services

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support to individuals. You will help people live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting with daily routines and planning
  • Assisting with budgeting and financial management
  • Providing personal care and emotional support
  • Helping with household tasks and domestic duties
  • Administering medication
  • Encouraging independence and confidence

A rewarding part of the role is supporting people to enjoy activities within the community.

This may include:

  • Going to the gym or swimming
  • Using public transport
  • Attending social activities and appointments
  • Encouraging participation and social inclusion

Every day is different, and your support can have a genuine impact on someone’s quality of life.

Shift Patterns

We provide support 24 hours a day, therefore flexibility is important.

Shifts may include:

Day Shifts
  • 8:00am – 3:00pm
  • 3:00pm – 10:00pm
Waking Nights & Sleepovers

Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
