Job summary

Real Life Options in the northeast Fife area is seeking a Relief Support Worker to provide high-quality care and assistance to individuals living with learning disabilities and autism. You’ll support daily routines, promote independence, and help with personal care and inclusion.

This role offers flexible hours across days, evenings, weekends and possibly nights, with a pay rate of £13.45 per hour and a range of benefits for contracted staff.

About the Role

As a Support Worker, you will provide high-quality support to individuals. You will help people live as independently as possible while promoting dignity, choice and inclusion.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Supporting with daily routines and planning
  • Assisting with budgeting and financial management
  • Providing personal care and emotional support
  • Helping with household tasks and domestic duties
  • Administering medication
  • Encouraging independence and confidence

A rewarding part of the role is supporting people to enjoy activities within the community.

This may include
  • Going to the gym or swimming
  • Using public transport
  • Attending social activities and appointments
  • Encouraging participation and social inclusion

Every day is different, and your support can have a genuine impact on someone's quality of life.

Shift Patterns

Various hours and shifts available - days, evenings, weekends and could include night shifts

We provide support 24 hours a day, therefore flexibility is important.

Previous experience in care or support work is desirable but not essential, as full training and ongoing support will be provided.
