Job summary

Brook Street is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to help adults who have experienced homelessness move towards independent living. The role involves one-to-one support, creating personalised plans, and assisting with housing, benefits and services.

Shifts are 37.5 hours per week across 8am–9pm, including weekends and bank holidays (rotating patterns). You will build relationships, maintain records, and work with partner agencies to maintain safe, welcoming accommodation in CM2, Essex.

Qualifications

  • Experience supporting vulnerable adults (paid or voluntary).
  • Calm, patient and confident in challenging situations.
  • Good communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Organised, reliable and able to work independently.
  • Comfortable using Microsoft Office.
  • Full UK driving licence.

Full time | £25,500-£26,804 | CM2, Essex

Are you someone who genuinely cares about people and wants to make a real difference? This Support Worker role gives you the chance to support adults who have experienced homelessness, helping them build confidence, develop life skills and move towards independent living.

You’ll work closely with residents, building positive relationships and supporting them with housing, wellbeing, training, daily living skills and accessing specialist services. No two days are the same - you’ll be part of a team that empowers people to take meaningful steps forward.
