Job summary

Career Choices Dewis Gyrfa Ltd in Bromsgrove is recruiting a Support Worker to join our service supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs.

The role requires building positive relationships, resilience, and flexibility to work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, sleep-ins and waking nights. The position offers a permanent, full-time contract with a pay rate of £12.79 per hour and 37.5 hours per week.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with individual plans
  • Build trusting and professional relationships

  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care (where required)
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing

  • Maintain accurate records and work effectively within a team

Support Worker Location: Bromsgrove Worcester Rate: £12.79 per hour Permanent | Full-time |

We are recruiting Support Workers to join our service in Bromsgrove, supporting young people with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs, including behaviours that may challenge.

About the Service
  • King George Close King George Close is a residential care home located in a quiet residential street.

The service supports up to five young people with a range of mental health diagnoses, learning disabilities, and/or autistic spectrum conditions.

Our focus is on supporting individuals to develop independence and progress on their personal journey.

Easily accessible via public transport Close to local shops and community facilities About the People We Support The individuals living at the service may present with: Autistic Spectrum Disorder Learning disabilities Mental health needs Emotional dysregulation Self-harm behaviours Suicidal ideation Absconding behaviours Complex trauma backgrounds Behaviours that challenge services Our aim is to create a safe, therapeutic, and person-centred environment where individuals can develop emotional regulation, independence, and achieve positive outcomes.

Service User Interests We actively support individuals to engage in meaningful activities, including: Arts and crafts Days out (theme parks, meals, social activities, Christmas markets) Holidays and short breaks Walks in the local community and parks Cooking and baking to build life skills
