Worcestershire County Council, located at Bromsgrove Resource Centre, is seeking a Support Worker on a permanent basis. Working 35 hours per week, you will support adults with learning disabilities to develop day opportunities and reach their full potential.
Based at Bromsgrove Resource Centre, you will assist with activities such as swimming, hydrotherapy, physiotherapy, cooking, music sessions and aromatherapy, helping people gain skills and independence.

If so we need you to help us develop quality services for people with learning disabilities in Bromsgrove. We are recruiting a Support worker to help support adults with complex needs and learning disabilities, to further develop their day opportunities and reach their full potential and maintain their skills.
Based at Bromsgrove Resource Centre, you will be supporting people in activities such as Swimming/ Hydrotherapy, Physiotherapy, cooking, music sessions, aromatherapy as well as helping people to gain skills to become more confident and independent.
You will need to be committed to supporting people in making real choices about their everyday lives and help enable people to access opportunities in their local community.
Previous experience of working with people with learning disabilities would be an advantage, however having an understanding of the needs of people with learning disabilities is essential.
Training will be given to enable you to assist where necessary with personal care for people and to support those who have more complex needs.
