Job summary

CareTech is recruiting a dedicated Support Worker to join our service in Nuneaton, supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, and mental health needs. The role is permanent, full-time (37.5 hours per week) on a rota, with a £12.79 per hour rate.

We welcome both newcomers and experienced carers. Full training and induction provided, with opportunities for progression and benefits including DBS check, pension, and recognition schemes.

• Reliable, flexible, patient and respectful approach.

Responsibilities

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans.
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required.
• Promote independence, dignity and wellbeing for adults.
• Support activities, appointments and community access.
• Maintain accurate records and work as part of a team.
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays and sleep-ins.

About the Service – Bluebell / Kingsbridge

Bluebell / Kingsbridge is a care home which provides care and support to people with learning disabilities and/or autistic spectrum disorder who enjoy a wide range of hobbies from Bowling and Swimming to Dance and Music.,
There is easy access to public transport and it is close to local shops.

Service User Interests

The people we support enjoy a wide range of activities, and Support Workers play a vital role in enabling these experiences, including:

• Arts and crafts
• Days out such as Theme Parks, Meals out, Social activities, Christmas markets etc.
• Holidays and short breaks
• Walks in the local park and community
• Cooking and baking to develop life skills

The Role

You will:

• Deliver person-centred support in line with individual support plans
• Assist with daily living skills and personal care where required
• Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing

• Maintain accurate records and work effectively as part of a team
• Work a rota including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and sleep-ins

Who We’re Looking For

We’re seeking people who are caring, patient, and respectful, with a positive and resilient approach. You should be confident working independently and within a team, have good communication skills, basic IT and written abilities, and be flexible and reliable.

No previous experience? No problem! If you have the passion, we’ll provide full training and a structured induction programme.

Requirements

• Willingness to work towards Level 2 in Health and Social Care
• Ability to work unsociable hours on a rota basis
• Drivers desirable but not essential
• Enhanced DBS required (paid for by CareTech)
