Job summary

CareTech’s King George Close service in Bromsgrove is seeking a dedicated Waking Night Support Worker to provide person-centred support to young people with learning disabilities, autism and mental health needs. The role is permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) on a rota, with an emphasis on building independence and safety during night shifts.

You will deliver high-quality support, maintain records, follow Positive Behaviour Support plans, and work closely with the team to respond calmly to

Responsibilities

  • Deliver high-quality, person-centred support in line with individual plans
  • Build trusting and professional relationships
  • Support individuals during periods of emotional distress

  • Assist with daily living skills and personal care (where required)
  • Promote independence, dignity, and wellbeing
  • Support with appointments, activities, and community access

Job description

Waking Night Support Worker Location: Bromsgrove Worcester Rate: £12.79 per hour Permanent | Full-time | 35 hours per week (rota-based) Please note: We may be unable to support applications where Home Office visa restrictions prevent candidates from meeting the full contractual hours or requirements of the role.

About the Service
  • King George Close King George Close is a residential care home located in a quiet residential street.

The service supports up to five young people with a range of mental health diagnoses, learning disabilities, and/or autistic spectrum conditions.

Our focus is on supporting individuals to develop independence and progress on their personal journey.

The Role As a Support Worker, you will:
