Job summary

Cygnet Oaks in Barnsley is seeking a confident Care & Support Worker to join our 35-bed rehabilitation service. You’ll work 42 hours a week across days, nights and weekends, delivering compassionate care to residents and supporting their return to independence.

Starting pay is £13.15 per hour, rising to £13.45 after 3 months, with learning opportunities through our apprenticeship scheme and access to a wellbeing and benefits package.

We are looking for a confident Care & Support Worker with a passion for delivering outstanding care.

You’ll be working 42 hours a week (Days, Nights and Weekends), making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Cygnet Oaks.

Cygnet Oaks is a 35 bed service specialising in high support inpatient rehabilitation (level 2) for men, providing a multi-disciplinary treatment programme designed to assist individuals with their return to independent living.

Depending on the individual’s level of need, at Cygnet Oaks we provide different levels of support in 2 wards, the Lodge and the House;

• Lodge – this is a 20 bed admission ward where most service users will start their recovery journey at Cygnet Oaks. Individuals who are admitted to this ward are generally stepping down from an acute or a low secure service
• House – a 15 bed service for individuals to continue along their care pathway. The Lodge also contains a 4 bed step-through service. This is situated in its own corridor and has a separate living space to prepare and develop individuals towards a community placement whilst still having input from the multi-disciplinary team (MDT).
