Beltane is recruiting Support Practitioners in Wishaw for a part-time role (16–30 hours per week). You will support two young men as they transition from school, helping them gain independence and explore new experiences.

No experience? No problem—we’ll train you, pay you and support you throughout, with funded qualifications and opportunities for progression. A friendly, flexible team awaits you.

As a Support Practitioner, you’ll play an important role in supporting two young men as they move on from school and take their next steps towards adulthood.

No two days will be the same. You’ll help them build confidence, develop independence and discover new experiences, while supporting them to make choices and work towards their own goals. Shift patterns

Our team provides tailored support with shifts typically being from 8am-4pm 7 days a week. Weekends and public holidays will form part of your rota on a rotational basis. Due to the needs of the people we support, there might be evenings involved depending on their activities.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre‑employment checks.
