Job summary

Cornerstone Community Care in Wishaw, Scotland, is seeking enthusiastic Support Practitioners for a part-time role (16–30 hours per week). You will help two young men move from school, building confidence, independence and pursuing meaningful activities in the local community.

No experience is required; training is provided, and you will gain funded recognised qualifications as you work. Expect engaging shifts, teamwork and a chance to make a real difference.

Shift patterns

Our team provides tailored support with shifts typically being from 8am-4pm 7 days a week. Weekends and public holidays will form part of your rota on a rotational basis. Due to the needs of the people we support, there might be evenings involved depending on their activities.

Successful candidates will be required to join the Protection of Vulnerable Groups Scheme and be committed to working towards an SVQ in Social Services and Healthcare with the support from our Training Academy.

If you’re successful in joining our team, we will need you to register with the SSSC within 3 months of starting your employment with us.

Please note - If you have spent more than 12 months out with the UK (excluding France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Lithuania, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania or Spain) within the last 10 years while over the age of 18, you will be asked to provide a criminal record certificate from the relevant government/police authority as part of our pre‑employment checks.
