Taff Housing Association is recruiting a Support Assistant to help empower young women aged 16-21 who are homeless or at risk. You will work with Support Officers, build positive relationships and support residents to achieve goals and move into independent accommodation.
The role involves shift work, covering 24/7 rota, following each resident's support and safety plans, and responding calmly to challenging situations to maintain a safe, supportive environment.
What you'll do...
Assisting Support Officer colleagues to enable and empower young women who are homeless, or at risk of homelessness, aged 16-21, to make positive changes in their lives. Building positive relationships and taking a working-with approach to help residents achieve their goals and move on successfully into independent accommodation. Working a shift pattern in accordance with the service rota, covering 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Working in line with the support plans agreed by service users and their Support Officers and following safety and risk plans designed to maintain project safety.
