Job summary

Beech Hill Primary School in Newcastle upon Tyne requires a part-time teaching assistant to support learning and assessment under the direction of the class teacher. The position is fixed term until 16 July 2027 and involves 32.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday (30 min lunch).

This school has Academy status and is part of Valour Multi Academy Trust; the employer will be the Multi Academy Trust.

Start Date – as soon as possible

Part Time – 32.5 hours per week, 6.5 hours per day, Monday – Friday (30min Lunch)

The successful applicant will have:

• Good Skills in Literacy and Numeracy
• Confidence to work with and assess the progress of children under the direction of the class teacher.
• Experience working with children who need additional individual / small group intervention to assist learning.The Academy Trust is strongly committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.

The successful applicant will be required to obtain an Enhanced Certificate of Disclosure (DBS) and a range of other recruitment checks.
