Job summary

Bolton St Catherine’s Academy is seeking a Teaching and Learning Assistant Level 2 + SEN (Secondary) to support students aged 11-16 within a 3-16 all-age, inclusive environment. The role is permanent, part of a SCP 6–11 pay scale (£25,989–£28,142) with SEN allowances, at 30.25 hours per week, term-time plus one day.

The post includes generous CPD, career progression, wellbeing support, and a comprehensive benefits package, with automatic pay progression and a lunch allowance for lunchtime duties.

YOUR MAIN DUTIES WOULD BE:
  • To work with and supervise individuals and groups of students under the direction/instruction of teaching and/or senior staff, inclusive of specific individual learning needs, supporting target setting for students and enabling access to learning for all students.
  • Assisting in managing students’ sometimes significant and challenging behavior through the use of a range of strategies and techniques.
