Job summary

Storal Learning Ltd. in Warminster is hiring an Early Years Educator to cover children as needed, including holidays, sickness, or vacancies. Roles include hands-on activities, crafts, storytelling, and supporting learning under the EYFS framework.

You will work flexible hours: full time Monday–Friday or part time over three days, at Barney Lodge, with compensation up to £13.30 per hour depending on qualification and experience. Commitment to safeguarding and child welfare is essential.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years.
• Experience with children under age 5 is advantageous.
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable.
• Commitment to safeguarding and welfare standards.

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for children as needed, including holidays, sickness or vacancies.
• Deliver hands-on activities, crafts, storytelling and educational games.
• Support learning in line with EYFS standards and policies.
• Adapt plans as required by changing circumstances to maintain a safe, engaging environment.

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.

You'll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan.... That will soon get completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!

Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

You’re a Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.

You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.

What You'll Need
