Job summary

Storal Learning Ltd. is seeking an Early Years educator to cover shifts across a casual, part-time and full-time basis in Lincoln. You will support children, plan activities, and adapt to changing schedules while upholding EYFS standards.

The role emphasizes creativity, warmth, and a collaborative approach to learning, with opportunities to contribute to a nurturing classroom environment for young children.

Qualifications

• A full and relevant Level 2 or above qualification within early years
• Experience as an Early Years Educator (Nursery Nurse/Practitioner) or having worked with children under age 5 is advantageous
• Knowledge and understanding of the EYFS is desirable
• Reflecting the Storal values around responsibility, openness and working together

Responsibilities

• Provide cover for children as/when needed including holidays, sickness or vacancy gaps
• Support for full days, or mornings/afternoons
• Plan activities but adapt as circumstances require, maintaining enthusiasm and flexibility
• Deliver engaging, EYFS-aligned activities with creativity and energy

Nursery: Children 1st Rosemary Lane Nursery School by Storal

Address: Monks Road, Lincoln, LN2 5AT

Hours: Casual, variable hours, Monday-Friday, Full Time and Part Time

Salary: £12.71ph - £13.30ph Salary will depend on qualifications and experience

How You’ll Spend Your Time Here

You’ll be helping to provide cover for the children as and when needed. This could be for periods of holiday, sickness, or even vacancy gaps. Sometimes you'll support for a full day, or it may just be a morning or afternoon session.

You’ll likely start most of your days with a fully formulated plan.... That will soon get completely derailed though... Pivoting when the circumstances call for it is a regular occurrence in child care!

Creativity is key. Teaching young children allows for hands on arts and crafts, storytelling, exercise, and educational games. It’s important to keep things fresh and try new activities to keep attention spans engaged. Of course we work within the EYFS standards, but that doesn't stop you from engaging your creative flair and enthusiasm for learning.

Ideally hold a Level 2 or above qualified, Early Years Educator / Practitioner / Nursery Nurse or similar and you're looking for an Early Years Educator/Nursery Nurse/Early Years Practitioner role that allows you flexibility of working shifts around your other commitments.

You enjoy supporting and encouraging the natural curiosity and excitement of young children and were born to teach and shape the future of our younger generations.

You have a natural, nurturing, openness, a warm and positive outlook, and you care about learning and education standards in the UK.
