Job summary

Safran Seats in Cwmbran, Wales is seeking an Engineering Project Lead to steer technical delivery from proposal to service entry. You will lead engineering activities, align with programme and manufacturing teams, and ensure products meet requirements while balancing quality, cost and schedule.

The role requires an Engineering degree (Aerospace or Mechanical), strong technical leadership, and excellent communication with customers and internal stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Degree in Engineering (Aerospace, Mechanical or related).
  • Experience in aerospace/defence manufacturing desirable; other sectors acceptable.
  • Strong understanding of product development lifecycle.
  • Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coordinate engineering activities to deliver project objectives.
  • Support project planning: schedules, budgets, risks and mitigations.
  • Monitor progress across multidisciplinary teams and resolve challenges.
  • Provide regular project status updates to stakeholders and customers.
  • Manage technical requirements, specs and engineering changes.
  • Contribute to design reviews and key milestones.
