Job summary

Dakota Hotels is seeking a morning Breakfast Assistant with an outgoing personality to greet guests, serve tea, coffee and toast, and take breakfast orders.

You will act as a section waiter/waitress, provide table service, deliver food to tables, and work closely with the Bar and Kitchen teams to maintain smooth communication.

A sociable, early-start applicant who is keen to learn the menu and allergens, adapt to pace, and contribute to a positive guest experience will thrive in this role.

Qualifications

• At least 1 year working experience, ideally in a hospitality environment.
• Having previous waiting or coffee shop experience is strongly preferred.
• A sociable person who enjoys early morning starts.
• Be an outgoing personality with effective communication skills.
• Ability to work at pace and be proactive for the duration of your shift.
• An enthusiastic individual who will promote our culture of positivity.
• Be task oriented with a great pride for the work they do and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Greet all guests as they come into the Grill, offering and serving tea, coffee and toast before taking their breakfast order.
• Carry out the role of a section waiter/waitress, providing table service, taking guest orders and running large trays of delicious food to guest tables.
• Provide the highest levels of guest service, offering personalised dish and beverage recommendations, and delivering a memorable dining experience.
• Work closely with the Bar and Kitchen team to ensure the effective flow of communication.
• Maintain a comprehensive level of knowledge of our current breakfast menu to be able to offer guests recommendations, including understanding the allergens presence in dishes.
