Kier Group is offering a Summer Placement for a Quantity Surveyor Student in Falmer, East Sussex. The role starts July 2027 and runs for 8 weeks, with 40 hours per week. Starting salary is £26,208 per annum; there is potential to move onto the Graduate Scheme.

Join the Infrastructure team, work on Southern Water framework projects, and gain hands-on experience under experienced mentors while developing core quantity surveying skills.

Qualifications

• Excellent numerical and analytical skills required.
• Strong written and verbal communication abilities.
• Ability to work independently and within a team.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources of the project.
• Assist in maximizing gross profit for projects.
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial/contractual risks as well as value work by sub-contractors.
• Help prepare and submit tenders and contract documents.
• Collaborate with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements.
