Job summary

Kier Group is seeking an Industrial Placement Quantity Surveyor to join our Infrastructure team in Falmer, East Sussex. This 12‑month placement offers hands‑on experience in the Water sector on Southern Water Framework projects.

The role includes mentorship, with a September 2027 start date and a salary of £27,976 per annum, along with 26 days of leave and wellbeing support. You will assist in managing the contractual and financial aspects of infrastructure projects, develop core QS skills, and

Qualifications

• Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a closely related discipline.
• Demonstrates numerical confidence and the ability to use data to support decision‑making.

Responsibilities

• Manage commercial resources of the project.
• Assist in maximising gross profit for projects.
• Assess, review and mitigate commercial/contractual risks as well as value work by sub‑contractors.
• Help prepare tender submissions and contract documents.
• Collaborate with the project team to prepare progress reports and financial statements.
