Job summary

ALPADIA Language Schools SA is seeking a Camp Manager for our Ardingly summer camp in the UK. You will lead staff, safeguard students, and coordinate programmes across language, activities, and welfare.

The role involves managing budgets, communications with schools and families, and ensuring safe, engaging sessions for international students. The position is on-site at Ardingly, with residential accommodation provided.

Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing or coordinating summer camps, youth programmes, or similar environments.
• Experience leading teams and supervising staff in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.
• Demonstrated experience in safeguarding and ensuring the welfare of children and young people.
• Strong leadership, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to manage budgets, logistics, and administrative processes efficiently.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations and emergency procedures.
• Experience with staff training and performance management.

Responsibilities

• Staff Management: lead and evaluate staff, supervise training and induction.
• Student Management: safeguard wellbeing, manage discipline and welfare.
• Language Programme: support language delivery across courses.
• Activities Programme: ensure well-run activities and excursions.
• Welfare and Health & Safety: ensure safeguarding, health, and safety compliance.
• Communication: liaise with host school, parents, agents, and teams.
• Administration: oversee check-in/out, registers, and record keeping.
• Relationships: maintain positive relationships with school/provider and staff.
• Transfers: manage inbound/outbound airport transfers and schedules.
