AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Civil/Structural Engineering Discipline Lead based in Birmingham to drive growth, lead a skilled team and deliver key HV substation projects. You will shape technical direction, mentor engineers and manage recruitment to match market demand.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
• Chartered Engineer with ICE or IStructE is desirable.
• Experience in electricity supply industry (HV substations, HV cables, transmission & distribution, overhead lines) is desirable.
• Experience in line management and team leadership.
• Experience in recruitment and onboarding to grow teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead and grow the civil/structural engineering team for HV substations projects.
• Coach and mentor staff, driving technical excellence and knowledge transfer.
• Ensure staff are technically equipped to deliver high quality work to clients.
• Drive efficient resource planning to maintain billability and budget.
• Represent the discipline in client discussions and project leadership.
