Job summary

AtkinsRéalis in the United Kingdom seeks a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead FEED and Detailed Design on substation projects, focusing on transmission and distribution networks. You will work across sites in the UK and interface with clients, driving technical leadership within the Power & Energy Solutions team.

The role offers flexible and hybrid working, with opportunities for chartership and development on major energy infrastructure projects across the UK.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2.2 BEng in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience in HV plant design up to 400 kV preferred.
• Delivery of FEED and Detailed Design for transmission clients.
• Ability to manage tender packages.
• Locations include Birmingham, Epsom, Glasgow, Leeds.

Responsibilities

• Lead FEED and detail design workstreams for National Grid and other clients.
• Interface with clients to understand needs and convert into workstreams.
• Ensure QA and delivery of FEED, Detailed Design, and bids.
• Coordinate with back-office engineers, sub-contractors and suppliers.
• Attend Design Review and Hazard Review meetings.
