Job summary

IPS Group Limited, based at the Southampton head office, is seeking a Subsidence Desk Technician to support the Subsidence Team and broader business. You will triage subsidence claims, review policy terms, and prepare reports while ensuring timely progression in line with service levels.

You will maintain claim records, communicate with customers and insurers, and handle challenging conversations professionally, taking ownership of your workload to deliver high-quality outcomes.

Qualifications

• Experience in insurance claims, loss adjusting or similar environment.
• Strong customer service and administrative skills.
• Ability to communicate complex information clearly.
• Strong problem-solving and proactive workload ownership.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Conduct initial triage calls to assess the validity of subsidence claims and determine whether site investigations are required.
• Review policy cover and terms.
• Prepare reports and ensure claims progress in line with agreed service levels.
• Maintain accurate claim records, manage amendments and updates within the claims system.
• Communicate effectively with customers, insurers and colleagues throughout the claims process.
• Handle challenging conversations professionally and take ownership of workloads.
