Job summary

Exchange Street Claims & Financial Services seeks an experienced Subsidence Engineer to manage subsidence claims and conduct site assessments. You will determine causation and liability, prepare ABI reports, and liaise with contractors while overseeing complex repair schemes.

You will review claims, manage variations, and ensure accurate documentation across projects within a property-focused portfolio.

Qualifications

• Experience in subsidence / Loss Adjusting is preferred.
• MRICS / MCIOB / C.BuildE qualifications are desirable but not essential.
• Strong communication and customer service skills are required.

Responsibilities

• Handle a portfolio of subsidence claims involving landslips, sinkholes/voids and intervention methods.
• Attend site to carry out technical assessments and investigate claims.
• Determine causation and policy liability.
• Decline claims where appropriate.
• Determine nature and extent of damage.
• Prepare and submit ABI reports with findings and recommendations.
• Oversee complex repair schemes, sub-structure and super-structure.
• Liaise with contractors and external suppliers.
• Work closely with and support the Contractor Network.
• Review claims and deal with variations.
