Job summary

Exchange Street Executive Search is seeking an experienced Subsidence Engineer to work on UK properties affected by subsidence. You will manage a portfolio of claims, visit sites for technical assessments, determine causation and policy liability, and decide on claim viability.

Key duties include ABI reporting, overseeing repair schemes, liaising with contractors and external suppliers, and reviewing claim variations.

Qualifications

• Experience handling subsidence/ loss adjusting claims.
• MRICS/MCIOB/C.BuildE desirable but not essential.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Excellent customer service and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Handle a portfolio of subsidence claims involving landslips, sinkholes/voids and intervention methods.
• Attend site to carry out technical assessments and investigate claims.
• Determine causation, defect diagnosis and policy liability.
• Decline claims where appropriate.
• Determine nature and extent of damage.
• Prepare/submit full ABI reports with findings and recommendations.
• Oversee complex repair schemes, sub- and super-structure works.
• Liaise with contractors and external suppliers.
• Work with and support the Contractor Network.
• Review claims and deal with variations.
