Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Subscription Revenue Manager to join our dynamic and growing team. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in managing the subscription lifecycle and be a key link between the Finance team and the Commercial and Customer Success teams. The responsibilities of the role include:
  • Revenue and Annual Contract Value (ACV): Oversee the entire subscription revenue lifecycle, including new bookings, renewals, including revenue/ACV recognition and reconciliation.
  • Subscription Management: Managing cross-functional subscription management and revenue recognition processes, driving improvements and compliance with regulatory frameworks (where applicable). Implementing and managing new processes in line with company’s strategy for new products, geographies or verticals. Leveraging subscription data to support key business decisions.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and analyse monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports related to subscription revenue.
  • Renewal Strategy: Support the Customer Success team in improving renewal visibility and drive improved customer retention.
  • Data Analysis: Utilize data analytics to monitor commercial trends, identify opportunities for growth, and provide actionable insights.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with sales, customer success, commercial, and finance teams to align revenue strategies and processes.
  • System Management: Manage and optimize subscription management system (within Salesforce) and wider ecosystem (i.e. NetSuite billing and ERP).
What we’re looking for:
Required skills and experience:
  • A minimum of 5+ years hands-on, proven industry experience in a similar role.
  • A qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA).
  • Strong understanding of subscription billing and revenue recognition principles.
  • Excellent understanding of SaaS KPI metrics and concepts (ACV, ARR, churn, retention etc.).
  • Proficiency in financial reporting and data analysis and ability to develop commercial insights from financial data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across departments.
  • Previous hands-on experience using Salesforce and good knowledge of subscription management software and financial systems (e.g. Zuora, NetSuite, etc.).
