Job summary

Babcock International Group invites you to join a two-year Safety Engineering Graduate Programme in Bristol, with placements across submarine engineering teams. You’ll learn to identify and mitigate risks, supporting safety cases and regulatory compliance to protect people, operations, and communities.

You’ll rotate through projects, gain expertise toward Chartered/Incorporated Engineer status, and benefit from structured mentorship, training, and a clear career framework.

Qualifications

• Must have or be on track to achieve a degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronic, Systems Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or Chemistry.
• Security clearances BPSS, SC and NNPI must be achievable and maintained.
• Only UK nationals may occupy this programme in line with security legislation.

Responsibilities

• Rotate through placements across submarine engineering teams to gain breadth.
• Identify, analyse and mitigate risks in safety-critical environments and learn safety case processes.
• Collaborate with safety case authors, human factors specialists and other engineers to underpin safety guarantees.
