Job summary

Rolls-Royce Corporation in Derby is seeking a Maintenance Planning Engineer to join the Submarines Availability Centre. You will drive the maintenance strategy for the SMRP, coordinating with MoD and Rolls-Royce teams to optimise schedules, assess changes, and deliver improved submarine availability.

The role requires strong communication, stakeholder management, and knowledge of maintenance governance. A security clearance is a prerequisite, and the position is full-time onsite in Derby.

Qualifications

• Clear and concise communication with internal teams, MoD cells and customers.
• Strong stakeholder management and coordination across multiple domains.
• Proficiency with standard office tools and in-house systems.

Responsibilities

• Be the direct point of contact between customer and Rolls-Royce TA maintenance.
• Communicate with MoD technical and safety cells, RR site offices and internal experts.
• Manage maintenance requirements from safety case and reliability studies, challenging maintenance to optimise schedules.
• Coordinate and manage design and improvement projects through a wide network of resources.
• Assess and manage changes to maintenance packages, minimising impact on submarine programs.
• Work with data-driven analytics to identify maintenance improvements and opportunities.
• Lead changes using existing and new processes to optimise maintenance and support the SMRP.
