Job summary

Babcock in Plymouth, Devon is seeking a Planning Engineer to join a specialist planning team supporting in-service submarine maintenance programmes. You will transform complex engineering data into robust maintenance plans and liaise with engineers, project stakeholders and customers.

This full-time, hybrid role requires development of schedules, collaboration across teams, and a proactive approach to planning challenges. Flexibility for travel and security clearance are included.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engineering projects, maintenance programmes or services.
• Ability to translate technical information into structured plans.
• Experience working with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Planning, project controls or related experience is advantageous.
• Knowledge of submarine or ship operations is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify maintenance activities and work packages from engineering data sources.
• Develop and maintain indicative and key date schedules.
• Resolve planning issues, data gaps and ambiguities to support delivery.
• Coordinate with engineering teams and customers to ensure planning accuracy.
• Support planning and coordination of in-service submarine maintenance periods.
