Job summary

Babcock is seeking a Planning Engineer in Plymouth, Devon, with hybrid working arrangements. The role focuses on turning complex maintenance data into robust plans for in-service submarine maintenance, supporting Navy operations and national security.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering engineering projects or maintenance programmes.
• Translate technical information into structured maintenance plans.
• Collaborate with multiple stakeholders in a complex environment.
• Planning, project controls experience desirable.
• Knowledge of submarine or surface ship operations beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Identify maintenance activities and work packages from engineering data sources.
• Develop and maintain indicative planning schedules and key date schedules.
• Resolve planning issues, data gaps, and ambiguities to support delivery.
• Liaise with engineering teams, project stakeholders, and customers for planning accuracy.
• Support planning and coordination of in-service submarine maintenance periods.
