Job summary

Essential Employment seeks a Subject Matter Expert in Exeter to provide day-to-day support for business systems, troubleshoot issues, and respond to user queries. You will act as the SME for Niche, Pronto, and related operational systems, coordinating with ICT teams and suppliers.

The role involves gathering requirements, designing and implementing system solutions, leading UAT and testing, and producing reports and business cases to aid decision-making.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day support for business systems, including troubleshooting system issues and responding to user queries.
• Act as the subject matter expert for Niche, Pronto, and related operational systems.
• Gather, analyse, and document business requirements for system enhancements.
• Design, develop, configure, and implement system solutions with ICT teams and third-party suppliers.
• Lead and participate in user acceptance testing (UAT), regression testing, upgrade testing, and functionality testing.
• Facilitate user groups and stakeholder workshops to capture requirements and prioritise future developments.
• Provide specialist guidance to operational and senior stakeholders.
• Produce detailed reports, recommendations, and business cases to support decision-making.
• Support wider business change and transformation projects across the organisation.
• Build effective working relationships with internal teams, suppliers, and operational departments.
