Job summary

RTL Group Ltd in Woking is recruiting an experienced Sub Agent for a major civil engineering project on a substantial S278 highways and earthworks package. You will manage site activities, coordinate subcontractors and resources, and ensure works meet programme, drawings and quality standards.

The role requires strong civil engineering knowledge, qualifications such as SMSTS/CSCS, and excellent communication to liaise with Site Agents, engineers and the client.

Qualifications

• Experience as a Sub Agent on civil/highways projects.
• Strong experience with S278 works and earthworks.
• Relevant civil engineering qualification or equivalent experience.
• Understanding of construction methods, specifications and quality.
• SMSTS or related site qualifications; CSCS card.

Responsibilities

• Managing and supervising site activities across S278 highways and earthworks packages.
• Coordinating subcontractors, labour, plant and materials.
• Ensuring works are delivered in programme and specifications.
• Setting out and monitoring construction activities.
• Maintaining health, safety and environmental compliance.
• Completing daily records, permits, inspections and quality documentation.
• Liaising with Site Agents, Engineers, subcontractors and the client.
• Monitoring progress and identifying potential programme issues.
• Supporting planning and sequencing of upcoming works.
