Job summary

Construction in Cambridge is seeking an experienced Sub Agent to join a major highways infrastructure project on a 12-month contract, starting 18th August.

You will manage day-to-day site operations, coordinate teams and subcontractors, prepare RAMS/ITPs, monitor quality, and support the Site Agent and Project Manager while upholding the highest safety and environmental standards.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sub Agent on highways or major civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts.
• SMSTS, CSCS and First Aid certifications.
• HNC/HND or Degree in Civil Engineering or related discipline.

Responsibilities

• Managing day-to-day site operations to ensure works are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
• Coordinating site teams, subcontractors and suppliers to maintain programme.
• Preparing and reviewing RAMS, ITPs and other project documentation.
• Monitoring quality and ensuring all works are carried out in accordance with project specifications.
• Supporting the Site Agent and Project Manager with planning, reporting and commercial awareness.
• Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of health, safety and environmental compliance.

Requirements:

• Proven experience working as a Sub Agent on highways or major civil engineering projects.
• Good understanding of NEC contracts.

• Strong organisational and communication skills with the ability to lead site teams effectively.
