Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Sub Agent to manage small-to-medium civil engineering sites, supporting Site Agent and Project Manager on larger schemes. You will ensure delivery aligns with safety, quality, environmental, and cost objectives, while maintaining client satisfaction.

Essential qualifications include a Civil Engineering degree/HNC, NEC/CDM experience, and relevant site management certificates. A full driving licence and CSCS/SMSTS are required, with NEBOSH/IOSH desirable.

Qualifications

• Degree/HNC in Civil Engineering is essential.
• Working knowledge of NEC contract conditions and CDM regulations.
• Experience in design management, programme and risk management.
• Cost control including forecasting, actual cost and value reporting.
• CSCS and SMSTS cards; NEBOSH or IOSH.

Responsibilities

• Maintain commercial performance of the contract.
• Ensure successful delivery of projects and manage the project programme.
• Induct staff, subcontractors and visitors and ensure required qualifications.
• Chair weekly site meetings and produce monthly client reports.
• Support health, safety, environment and quality duties on site.
• Manage resources and drive cost efficiency on projects.
