Job summary

Barhale is seeking a Site Agent/Manager to lead on-site delivery of civils and water projects, ensuring quality, safety and programme adherence across multiple schemes. You will work with Contracts/Project Managers, engineers and surveyors to optimise performance and regulatory compliance.

The role requires extensive civil engineering site experience, strong leadership, and familiarity with CDM, RAMS, ITPs and contract frameworks.

Qualifications

• Experience as Site Agent for a Civil Engineering contractor in a regulated environment.
• Knowledge of contract conditions, CDM, Design Management, Programme, Risk management and cost control.
• Good knowledge of specifications and testing regimes in civil engineering.
• Degree or HNC in Civil Engineering (or equivalent).
• CSCS mandatory.
• IOSH Managing Safely or SMSTS.
• Temporary works Coordinator.
• Confined space training.
• Excellent communication and team management skills.
• CEng MICE or equivalent.
• Knowledge of Primavera P6.
• Understanding of JCT and NEC contracts.

Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for the successful delivery of civil projects on site.
• Lead Sub Agents, Engineers and Foremen to deliver work safely and to quality.
• Produce Project Plans, RAMS, ITP and Waste Management Plans as required.
• Maximise commercial performance of the contract.
• Produce and manage construction programme and a 2-week look-ahead.
• Chair weekly site meetings.
• Interface with Contracts Manager/Project Manager, engineers and quantity surveyors.
• Ensure health and safety, environmental standards are maintained.
