Job summary

Randstad NV in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Sub Agent to lead a dedicated section of works near Peterhead. You will oversee a team of Section Engineers and Site Engineers, taking full ownership of delivery, safety systems, QA, productivity, and subcontractor management.

The role is full-time, on-site near AB42 3ED, with 7 am to 7 pm shifts Monday to Friday and one Saturday a month from 7 am to 13:00.

Qualifications

Valid CSCS Card, SSSTS or SMSTS and full UK driving license.
Experience leading engineering teams on major civil infrastructure projects.
Knowledge of RAMS creation, handover documentation, and safety systems.
Ability to produce resourced stage programmes and monitor KPIs.
Commercial and subcontractor management experience.

Responsibilities

Team Leadership & Safety: Lead site safety with Zero Harm focus, coach engineers, review RAMS and permits, and oversee temporary works.
Incident & Safety Management: Lead accident investigations, audits, and trend analysis to improve safety.
Engineering Control & Quality: Guide staff on setting out, solve technical problems, manage NCRs, own handover files.
Planning & Productivity: Produce fully resourced stage programmes, track KPIs, align short-term lookaheads.
Commercial & Subcontractor Management: Maintain site diaries, monitor costs, manage subcontractor performance.
