Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking an experienced Sub Agent for a major civil infrastructure and earthworks package in Peterhead. You will lead site operations for a defined section, manage engineers, coordinate earthworks, access roads, fencing and core infrastructure, and ensure safety, quality and programme compliance.

The role requires a proven Sub Agent or Senior Section Engineer background in heavy civils, roadworks or infrastructure, CSCS (Gold/Black), SSSTS/SMSTS, NEC contract familiarity, and a

Qualifications

• Proven experience as Sub Agent or Senior Section Engineer on major civil/infrastructure projects.
• CSCS Card (Gold or Black)
• SSSTS or SMSTS qualification
• Strong understanding of temporary works, drainage, pavement, and site setup logistics.
• Solid knowledge of NEC contracts, subcontractor management, and cost-tracking processes.
• Excellent communication and team leadership skills.
• Full UK Driving Licence

Responsibilities

• Lead and control a dedicated section of civil engineering works including earthworks and drainage.
• Manage Section Engineers and Site Engineers; ensure setting out accuracy and quality.
• Review RAMS, Method Statements, Risk Assessments and issue Permits to Work.
• Track short-term programmes and production KPIs to keep works on schedule.
• Supervise subcontractor performance; maintain site diaries and assist cost/value management.
• Oversee quality control; perform inspections and drive handover documentation (Green Files).
• Assist with accident/incident investigations.
