Job summary

Contract Scotland seeks an experienced Sub Agent for a long-term civil engineering project in Peterhead, Scotland. The role focuses on coordinating site operations, managing subcontractors, and maintaining safety, quality and productivity to meet programme requirements.

You will work closely with the Site Agent to ensure works are delivered in line with the programme, budget and technical specifications. A SMSTS certificate, CSCS card and NEC knowledge are preferred, with a valid driving licence

Qualifications

• Previous Sub Agent or similar civil engineering role.
• Experience coordinating site teams and subcontractors.
• Strong understanding of health and safety, quality control and programming.
• Experience in infrastructure works, ideally pavement reconstruction or wider civil projects.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate site teams and subcontractors to deliver works on time and to programme.
• Maintain high health, safety and environmental standards through site inspections and risk reviews.
• Support commercial management, cost forecasting and budget control.
• Prepare progress reports and maintain accurate site records.
• Ensure works comply with drawings, specifications and contractual requirements.
