Job summary

Aldwych Consulting Ltd is recruiting a Sub Agent to join a major civil engineering infrastructure project in Newcastle upon Tyne. Reporting to the site agent, you will manage a section of works, coordinate site engineering teams and subcontractors, and ensure work is delivered to programme.

The role requires a valid CSCS card, previous Sub Agent experience in civil engineering, and a full UK driving licence. Day rate is £450-£550 per day, and the position is temporary.

Responsibilities

• Managing site engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.
• Preparing, reviewing, and implementing RAMS prior to works commencing.
• Ensuring Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are completed, recorded, and maintained to industry standards.
• Monitoring site activities to ensure health & safety compliance and company procedures.
• Generating Non-Conformance Records (NCRs) and ensuring these are promptly closed out.
• Maintaining accurate records, including setting out, as-built information, and quality documentation.
• Producing and updating short-term and monthly programmes for your section of works.

Do you have experience working as a Sub Agent or Senior Engineer on major civil or infrastructure projects? Are you looking for your next opportunity within civil engineering? If so, this could be the role for you.

Our client, a well-established civil engineering contractor, is seeking to appoint a Sub Agent to work on a major infrastructure project. This role offers a challenging scope of works, excellent exposure to complex engineering, and an opportunity to work on an exciting project.

Reporting to the site agent, you will be responsible for managing a designated section of the works, including:

• Managing site engineering teams and subcontractors to ensure works are delivered safely and to programme.
• Preparing, reviewing, and implementing RAMS prior to works commencing.
• Ensuring Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs) are completed, recorded, and maintained to industry standards.
• Monitoring site activities to ensure compliance with health & safety requirements and company procedures, resolving any issues promptly.
