Job summary

Randstad CPE is assisting an established Tier 1 civil engineering and rail contractor in recruiting an experienced Sub Agent for the North of England's largest rail project.

The role requires planning, financial controls, and leadership of Sub Agents and the works team, with regular client/project meetings, QA, and adherence to procedures. A Civil Engineering degree and rail/RC-earthworks background are essential.

Qualifications

• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent.
• Proven experience at Agent level on large infrastructure projects.
• Rail sector experience with RC/Earthworks.

Responsibilities

• Plan and programme the works.
• Monitor and implement financial controls and cost reports.
• Manage and supervise Sub Agents, Section Engineers and the works team.
• Chair client and project meetings.
• Oversee daily administration, quality, audits, permits and records.
• Implement company procedures and protocols.
• Prepare method statements and risk assessments.
• Interpret and implement design.
• Ensure health and safety compliance.

My industry leading tier 1 civil engineering and rail contractor client are looking for an experienced Sub Agent to join the largest rail project in the North of England.

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Planning and programming of the works
• Monitoring and implementing the financial controls and cost reports
• Management and monitoring of Sub Agents, Section Engineers and the works team
• Liaise and chair client/project meetings
• Oversee daily administration, quality, audits, permits and records
• Implementation of company procedures and protocols
• Compilation of Method statements and risk assessments
• Interpreting and implementing of the design
• Health and Safety compliance

Candidate Requirements:

• Civil Engineering Degree or equivalent
• Proven experience at Agent level
• Proven experience working for a tier 1 on a large infrastructure project
• Rail background
• Experienced in RC/Earthworks
