Job summary

Search Consultancy Ltd are recruiting a Sub Agent for a large civil engineering and marine project in the North East of England. You will manage on-site operations, report weekly, and help ensure the programme is delivered on time while supporting Site Engineers.

The ideal candidate has a civil engineering degree, 3+ years as Sub Agent, NEC and MS Project experience, with CSCS/SMSTS credentials and flexibility on location. Marine experience is a plus.

Qualifications

• Degree in civil engineering required.
• Minimum 3 years' Sub Agent experience on civil/ marine projects.
• Experience with NEC contracts and MS Project is essential.
• Marine experience is desirable but not mandatory.
• CSCS and SMSTS qualifications are essential.

Responsibilities

• Manage daily on-site operations on a large civil/marine project.
• Report progress and concerns weekly to Contracts Manager.
• Drive on-time delivery of the project programme.
• Support Site Engineers on site with coordination.
• Perform additional on-site management duties as required.

Search are actively recruiting for a Sub Agent for a large civil engineering / marine project in the North East of England on behalf of one of our key clients who are an established contractor in the civil engineering sectors.

What you'll be doing

• The successful Sub Agent will be working on large civil engineering / marine project in North East of England;
• Manage the daily operations on site and ensure project timescales are met within a safe and accurate fashion,
• Reporting weekly to the Contracts Manager on key aspects of progress issues and concerns,
• Contribute and help to ensure that success throughout all projects is achieved by delivering the programme on time,
• Support Site Engineers on site,
• Any other site management duties as required.

What you'll need to be successful

• Ideally, the candidate will be degree-educated within civil engineering;
• At least 3 years' experience as a Sub Agent;
• Previous civil engineering, NEC and Microsoft Project experience is essential;
• Marine experience is highly desirable but not essential;
• Valid CSCS, SMSTS, is essential;
• Flexibility on location is essential.
