Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Sub-Agent on a freelance basis to join the delivery team for a major UK infrastructure project on the Kent/Essex border. You will lead key engineering surveys and play a pivotal role in delivering ECI Works, planning, coordinating, and monitoring subcontractor and self-delivered works to meet milestones.

Qualifications

• Experience in large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication and project management skills.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts and construction regulations.
• Ability to perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• SMSTS, CSCS and security clearance requirements, including DBS check and pre-start drug/alcohol testing.

What You'll Do

• Liaise with environmental, commercial, and social teams to meet sustainability and community commitments.
• Manage budgets, procurement, design changes, and handover processes.

We're seeking candidates with:

• Proven experience in a similar role, ideally on large-scale infrastructure projects.
• Strong leadership, communication, and project management skills.
• Knowledge of NEC3/NEC4 contracts, construction regulations, and best practices.
• Ability to perform under pressure and deliver results against tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements:

• Engineering or Construction Management degree (or related experience).
• Full UK driver's licence and fit for work medical.
• SMSTS
• CSCS card.
• Security Clearance and basic DBS check.
• Pre-start drug & alcohol test.
