Job summary

South Gloucestershire & Stroud College is seeking a Study Skills Facilitator at Stroud Campus to support learners across Foundation, GCSE and Vocational programmes. You will help students develop study skills, confidence and self-management, enabling progress into employment or further study.

Working with Learning Support and LibraryPlus, you will deliver targeted interventions, promote independent learning, and maintain records of progress.

Qualifications

• Experience supporting learners in education or support settings.
• Good written and verbal communication.
• Ability to work with diverse learners and adapt approaches.
• Commitment to safeguarding and inclusive practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver study skills support to individuals, groups and classes.
• Help learners develop effective study and independent learning skills.
• Promote confidence, resilience and good academic practice.
• Deliver targeted interventions to improve learner engagement and achievement.
• Collaborate with curriculum and support teams to identify learner needs.
• Maintain accurate records of learner support and progress.
